Belton Lake is near 6 foot low and dropping 2 inches a day. If we do not get rain soon the lake will reveal some of the great fishing locations you will be able to look at. The bass fishing has been slow, most fish are being caught shallow on spinners, flipping baits, and small crank baits. Early you can get a top water bite but, this is spotty at best. The White Bass are starting to school up for short periods of time. The Hybrids can be found around the White Bass, just a little deeper. White Bass and Hybrid fishing is fair to good, look in 23 to 50 foot and near drops. If you like night fishing I am hearing good reports on Smallmouth Bass on Black spinners right on the bank shallow, main lake area.
